| Description |
Cows reside in a field, chewing the cud. A man is seen walking along the cliffs that stretch between Brighton and Newhaven. Views from an elevated position follow, the white cliffs following the coast towards Brighton. Groynes inch out from the beach into the sea. Roedean School is seen in the distance and then using a zoom on the cine camera, its grey-stone building standing atop the cliffs facing the sea. People walking along the undercliff path are seen from an elevated position. The man walks towards the camera in a winter coat, smoking a cigarette. A gull perches on a fence atop the cliffs beside the coastal road. Beach scenes follow. Gulls swoop down to the stones, the waves washing up the beach. Railway lines are seen. A train passes under the bridge from which the footage is shot. The Palace Pier in Brighton is seen at dusk. Views from the Palace Pier of East Brighton and Kemptown seafront and beach, Madeira Drive and arcades follow. Views of West Brighton, West Pier and beach, taken from the Pier, close the film.
