Summary This short home movie features family members on holiday in Bognor Regis during the 1950s. The film includes games on the beach, as well as general shots of the town and seafront, including the pier. Description The film opens with a shot of a sign: "Welcome To Bognor Regis", followed by shots of two women wearing swimsuits playing an informal ball game with paddle bats on the beach; two men join in. The adults join a young boy in making sand castles against the sea wall. Shots of a small dog begging for food, followed by shots of inside a hotel room (?) and a crazy golf course. Shots of Bognor Regis Pier and small boats at sea; a power boat races across the shot. A busy town centre and landscaped park are seen; children and adults play with model boats on the boating lake. Further shots of the pier and a family getting into a car and driving off. Close-up of a woman holding a dog. Children, one dressed in a Brownie uniform, play with a soft toy in a garden. Shots of people walking along a road, sign: "Royal Hotel", the film ends with a shot of people coming out of the hotel and getting into a car.
